Bob was born in Roswell, New Mexico to Jim and Lorean Mills in 1947. Thirteen years later, he and his family moved east to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he attended middle school before becoming a Putnam City High School Pirate. After Bob graduated from PCHS in 1965, he moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma, to study business and music at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). He received Bachelor degrees in both business and music in 1969 and is now a member of the SWOSU distinguished alumni group.

In 1971, Bob launched his furniture business in a building located at 2625 S.W. 29th that used to house an IGA grocery store. While there, the business thrived for many years, constantly growing before Bob had to move the business to a bigger location in the late 1980s. The new location to which Bob moved his furniture business in the 1980s is the same 110,000 square foot facility at 3600 W. Reno in Oklahoma City his team uses today!

Bob and his wife Margaret have three children together: Bryan, Tuesday and Chris. His children work with him now to help carry on the family business and give back to the communities that have been a big part of their families’ lives.
