Bryan White was born in 1974 in Lawton, Okla., to William and Anita White. Bryan’s musical gifts came to him naturally. His mother, Anita, was already a successful singer, and his dad was musically talented as well. By the age of 2 Bryan had his first guitar. At age 5 his dad taught him how to play the drums, a skill he used in high school band at Putnam City West High School. He remains a skilled drummer today.

Bryan attended Mayfield Middle School before becoming a Putnam City West Patriot. While in high school, he excelled in art, music and pretty much anything “outdoorsy.” However, at age 14, Bryan’s life changed. That’s when he heard the music of Steve Wariner, and he instantly knew he had found his calling in life.

In October 1992, only five months after he graduated from Putnam City West, Bryan, his mother and his younger brother loaded up and went to “Music City” – Nashville, Tenn.

After moving to Nashville, Bryan regularly performed with the band Pearl River and became friends with songwriter Billy Joe Walker Jr. and music producer Kyle Lehning. With Lehning’s help, Bryan signed his first contract with Asylum Records in 1994. Since then, Bryan has had six #1 hits on Billboard country music charts.

Even multi-platinum selling artist Shania Twain took notice of Bryan and asked him to collaborate with her on “From This Moment” from her “Come On Over” album, which is the biggest-selling female country album of all time.

Bryan’s career continued to soar with more huge hits like “Love is the Right Place” and “One Small Miracle,” establishing Bryan as one of the biggest success stories of the ’90s. In the middle of his own success as an artist, Bryan still found time to write. His songs were recorded by contemporaries like Wynonna Judd and LeAnn Rimes and served as chart-topping hits for Sawyer Brown and Diamond Rio.

Bryan’s unparalleled vocal style earned him a host of awards such as Country Music Association’s Horizon Award, the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Male Vocalist Award, and even a Grammy. He has made TV appearances on programs including “The Tonight Show,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” NBC’s “Today Show” and CBS’s “This Morning.” Bryan was also named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People.”
