The mission of the Putnam City Schools Foundation is to enhance and enrich the educational opportunities of students and show support to staff and faculty in Putnam City Schools. The support we provide enables them to Dream Big.
We do this by providing teachers and staff with access to funds for items which district money isn’t available. We also leverage the volunteer power of a network of 80 retired teachers and parents of former students to make sure all our children have a warm coat, a pair of shoes, and a present at Christmastime.

Started by a group of parents in response to then Governor David Boren’s call for the creation of public school foundations, the Putnam City Schools Foundation has been serving the children and staff in Putnam City for over thirty years. Those parents worked tirelessly in our first few years hosting events and offering small grants to teachers. They even funded an endowment campaign that supports the foundation still today. Through the years, the Foundation has provided everything from art supplies and author visits to computers and training.
